I am participating in Dot & Flow Folio focus weekly challenge. This week's challenge is to illustrate a positive mantra, affirmation or "note to self", in a 550 pixel square.
The baby bear is still on my mind, I have another piece of artwork inspired from the same source. Here it is, the tribal bear.
I visited the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Canada back in 2010. It was a truly unforgettable trip. The beautiful sceneries are still in my memories. I had my first encountered with black bear in the wild in Jasper. It was a baby bear. I managed to take a photo of the black bear in less that 100 meter distance from the 4 wheel-drive where I travelled. All the passengers in the car were equally excited. At the moment we forgot about the risk and danger of staying too close to the bear. What we can think of at that point was to take photos of this rare opportunity. One of my friend even video taped the bear. I have seen bears before in the zoo many times, but the excitement and the feeling were just not the same when you see one in the wild. From that moment onwards, I developed an interest to watch wild life.
The bear was the inspiration of my artwork for the past few days. Here's the photo & my artwork. The baby bear was engrossed in eating berries. So, the birthday cake has strawberries, which should be yummy for the bear.
Hello, thank you for dropping by. My blog is about my creative journey and what I love to do. This is the place where I will show my work, share my design inspirations and also what I encountered and discovered while travelling.
